A very exciting week!

Well......it was a very exciting week end for those following the 2nd Bassmaster Elite tournament of the 2010 season on Clear Lake in California.

Our very own Byron Velvick from Del Reo, TX won the event and the $100k purse. This is Byron’s first Elite victory. He ruled the four day tournament from the beginning, landing the heaviest weight 3 out of 4 days while using a large 9-12” rubber swim bait.

In February, Koppers Fishing engaged into a sponsorship arrangement with Byron Velvick and Stephen Browning who finished 6th place last week at the 1st event of the season on the California Delta. Stephen Browning hosts a ‘full primary’ sponsorship (meaning his boat/truck wrap and tournament jersey feature Livetarget) and Byron wears a ‘shared primary’ (meaning Livetarget shares a sponsorship on the jersey/boat/truck).

The Bassmasters TV show will air next weekend on ESPN and will be viewed by several hundred thousand avid anglers throughout the heart of the U.S. Bass market.

We can’t express how excited we are to be on the Elite series trail with these 2 great ambassadors of the sport. It’s going to be an exciting season as they head to Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia for their next event in 3 weeks.
